SECTION VI: THE ACTIVISM

Americans of different backgrounds, genders and views uniting

A strong and vibrant democracy requires that its citizenry be informed and active in the governing process.  Many factors ranging from busy work and life schedules, general disinterest, disinterest due to extreme partisanship, the lack of Compromise being subjugated to Win at All Costs, hypocrisy of our elected officials, distrust of the system and a myriad of other reasons. But for a Citizenry to be fully engaged it first requires our elected officials engaging with us.

WHAT WE NEED IS THE EQUIVALENT TO AN
AMERICAN POLITICAL REVOLUTION

The only time we seem to hear from our representatives is when they ask for donations. Email your Representative and see what response you receive and how long it takes.

We have no shared vision for our country as evidenced by the recent Presidential election where one side says, ‘Make America Great Again’, which dates back to Ronald Reagan in 1981, and the other side messaging ‘Joy’.

We have to note that the Democratic Party and the Republican Party are nothing more than two non-profit organizations competing for our dollars and favor, that have entrenched themselves as the only way forward.

Creating 870 new House representative would, as both parties surmised in 1929, bring havoc to their lock on the system and their fund raising.

PROJECT 1305 brings a unifying vision for America that Americans could support as a way for us to Take Back the House and bring the real change We the People need. There is no predicting what the outcome would be, other than it would be very different than our current system that serves billionaires & millionaires well. But us? Not so much.

I do realize that bringing in an additional 870 members is challenging. It's not that it can't be done but I'll leave it to others to figure out if it should be done at once or over the course of 4-6 years. So I look at this as a challenge to us to make an immediate impact and find out by the 2026 election who's on board the train.

What to do?

If you like this radical change to 1,305 members, or some other number for increasing the size of the House then:

Support and donate to elected officials and candidates that support Sizing Up the House (not necessarily PROJECT 1305.)

            Sign the Petition

            Sign a 'Pledge to Americans'

Email me at act@PROJECT1305.org that you want to help and we can start a movement

Get elected officials like school board members, city council members, mayors that you or a friend                       may know to sign a Contract With Americans.

Become a volunteer with any of the partners

Email the PROJECT 1305 website address to friends and family for their consideration

Talk about it with co-workers, friends, relatives, at kids sporting/other events

            Post on your social media

Write an article and send to your local paper

Do a YouTube video showing your support and explaining why you do

Talk to your fellow church members

Create neighborhood and local groups that physically meet - like at your church

Email your Representative and see if you get a response, and let us know.

           Call your Representative

           Call your Senator

NOTE: Project 1305 does not believe our Representatives are inherently ‘bad’, as most have good intentions, but have no time and are locked in mostly to their big donors, and not the 760,000 of us 'little people’ they represent.
