It’s Not Politics — It’s Personal

It’s also personal to you (if you live in the United States)

It’s very simple. Based on data provided by an article in Investopedia in November, 2024, if your annual income is less than $160,000 you are in the bottom 90% of American workers.

I think the odds of any of us ‘90%’ers’ individually impacting an election with a political donation is a forgone conclusion as an exercise in futility. Even if each partner in a relationship decided to contribute equally, their combined donation would still be honored by an AI generated email ‘thank you’ designed to make us feel better, followed up by another donation request.

No invite to the party. No knock at our door to ask our opinion or see how we live. Or what really matters to us. After all, they already know based on the polls, access to massive demographic data, and what their political party tells them we need.

I try to be careful when we get into these ‘money’ conversations as I don’t want to leave the wrong impression. I think it’s important for our country to offer the opportunity for myself, and all other Americans to make a lot of money. After all, in my next life I’ve decided to comeback as the baby of a Billionaire. (or a Chocolate Lab in Berkely, California).

I don’t have $10,000 to donate to sit at a table in the same room as the candidate. I certainly do not have the $50,000 to sit at a table close to the candidate or the $100,000 to sit with the candidate. Do you?

My guess is more than 90% of us don’t. Like 99% of don’t.

How Much Income Puts You in the Top 1%, 5%, 10%?

It takes an income of at least six figures to be in the top 10%, 5%, or 1% of earners.

Per the Economic Policy Policy Institute CEO compensation skyrocketed by 1,085% since 1978, versus worker pay which has increased only 24%. Maybe all the CEO's deserve that much based on the personal skill set or creative ideas they capitalize on. However I find it hard to believe the CEO's have improved their performance 1,061% greater than the average worker. The top 1% of wage earners garnered 7.9% of all wages in 1979, while in 2021 it almost doubles to 14.6% of all wages.

It’s personal, and not political because both parties have created the economic environment we live in. Under both parties the CEO compensation skyrocketed in relation to Worker compensation. In 1965 CEOs made 21 times more than the Worker. By 1989 the CEOs made 45 times more than the Worker and in 2021? Ready for the score?

In 2021: CEOs 201; Workers, 1

During the period from 1965 through 2024 Republicans controlled the Presidency for 32 years and the Democrats controlled it for 28 years. I argue the data is quite clear. Neither party is delivering to the People.

I also argue one of the key reasons is because the American population has lost its voice, and its soul due to America’s House no longer being the Place of the People. It takes an average of $2,000,000 to run for the House of Representatives. That’s absurd and unless we make a dramatic change to our representation, for the 90%s, the next 60 years will continue to get worse.

There is no neutral in life. There are plateaus but otherwise we are either integrating to a higher self, or disintegrating. It’s the same with American Society. Our history is full of periods of Integration and Disintegration.

Each time the we need to move with Integration, it’s because the People have come forward.

Make it personal. Take action.

If you feel like I do, then we need to ‘Take Back the House’ so The People can decide. PROJECT 1305 is coming soon….
