At 90,000 Square Feet It Helps Solve America’s Most Problematic Institution

A Bold Move for Representation
When the idea of expanding the House of Representatives was first proposed a century ago, one major concern loomed large: Where would everyone meet? The existing facilities simply couldn't accommodate the number of representatives. It seemed impossible. Both political parties agreed that the cost of building new spaces or expanding was just too high.
The argument against increasing the size was straightforward. If all the members can't fit in the room at once, why make it bigger? It made sense to them, but not to us—We the People.
Fast forward a hundred years, and I have to give a shout-out to President Trump. He’s taken a bold step by transforming the East Wing into what he calls the ‘People’s Great Golden Ballroom’. I can hardly wait for the day when you and I get an invite!
The New Ballroom: A Symbol of Change
According to the White House website:
"The East Wing renovations, started in September 2025, will add a 90,000-square-foot ballroom for 1,000 guests, enhancing state visit capabilities, funded once again through the generosity of private citizens, corporations, and donors including President Trump himself."
Wow! Isn’t that something? Finally, Americans can experience a slice of the royal treatment that the Revolutionary War denied us for 250 years. What a grand way to celebrate the founding of our nation!
I get it. Hosting a large state dinner can be tough for President Trump. Imagine the embarrassment of having elite guests forced to dine in a tent at taxpayers' expense. Totally unacceptable! (I can just picture King George rolling over in his grave at the thought.)
The Real Issue: A Broken House of Representatives
As much as we need to fix our executive branch, the real problem lies in the House of Representatives.

The new People’s White House Golden Ballroom could play a pivotal role in addressing this issue. Nearly a century ago, Congress halted the very representation our ancestors fought for by capping the House at 435 members through the Permanent Apportionment Act of 1929. (In violation of Article I, Section 2 of OUR Constitution)
The rationale for not increasing the number of Representatives with each census was simple: the House was too small. (I can hear George Washington rolling over in his grave again.)
But bless President Trump! With 90,000 square feet available, there’s more than enough room for 1,305 Representatives. The current House chamber could still serve its purpose for speeches, as most are delivered in front of an empty or sparsely filled chamber.
Now that Trump has tackled that logistical hurdle, it’s our turn—We the People—to reclaim OUR House!
Why Size Matters in Representation
You might wonder why increasing the number of Representatives is so crucial. Well, think about it. A larger House means more voices. More perspectives. More representation for everyday Americans.
Currently, each Representative serves over 700,000 people on average. That’s a lot of folks for one person to represent! Imagine how much better our democracy could function with a more manageable ratio.
The Call to Action
So, what can we do? First, we need to spread the word. Share this vision with your friends and family. Talk about it at dinner parties or on social media. Let’s create a buzz!
Next, we can support organizations like PROJECT1305.org that are dedicated to this cause. They’re working hard to spark a nationwide movement to expand the House.
Conclusion: A New Era of Representation
In conclusion, the transformation of the East Wing into a grand ballroom is more than just a renovation. It symbolizes a potential shift in how we view representation in America.
Let’s embrace this opportunity. Let’s push for a House that truly represents us. Together, we can make a difference!
